Hi, I'm Susan Kommor.
I guide women through divorce and major life transitions with clarity, confidence, and a practical plan forward.
For more than 30 years, my work has centered around people facing important decisions during times of change. My background spans commercial banking, financial planning and financial services, and today I bring that experience together with my work as a Certified Divorce Coach®, Certified Grief Educator, and CFP Board Emeritus® professional.
But my understanding of transition isn't only professional.
Nearly 20 years ago, I went through a high-conflict divorce of my own. I remember what it was like to be overwhelmed by the emotional, financial and practical decisions...and to try to make important choices while life felt anything but certain.
That experience changed the way I think about major life decisions.
You don't always need to know exactly how the entire story will turn out. You need enough clarity to make the next right decision, the right support around you, and a plan that helps you keep moving forward.
That's the work I do today.
I help women slow down the noise, understand what's really in front of them, identify what matters most, prepare for conversations with their attorneys, financial professionals and other advisors, and make informed decisions about what comes next.
Because coaching isn't about telling you what to do.
It's about helping you become clear and confident enough to decide what is right for you.
My work is informed by decades of financial experience, divorce coaching, grief education and access to legal resources. When appropriate, I can also connect clients with affordable legal-plan resources that provide access to qualified legal professionals.
And I understand something else about building a next chapter: life doesn't stop while you're doing it.
I'm also COO of our family-owned business, Cherokee Coins & Jewelry, where I work alongside my husband, Steve. I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, author and businesswoman. I believe deeply that one difficult chapter does not get to write the rest of your story.
